Quantitative & Qualitative Survey
Quantitative & Qualitative Survey of Public Libraries was undertaken, in all major States/Union Territories of India covering both rural and urban areas to collect descriptive statistics about the public Libraries, to assess the existing infrastructure of the libraries; to study the pattern of library usage and to gather information from the citizens regarding services required etc.
Data were collected from 5140 Libraries and 7120 citizens.
